Star Victoria graduated with her MFA from the University of Southern California. She's a Ryan Murphy Half Mentee, finalist in the Disney General Entertainment Director program (2021) & finalist in Shonda Rhimes Director Shadow program (2022).

In 2020, Star's USC Thesis film La Ruta won a Directors Guild of America Jury Award for Best Student Film Directed by a Woman from the West Coast, Outstanding Directing at Catalyst Story Institute, a Gold Telly Award, Gold Davey Award, Silver Young Directors Award, USC's First Look Industry award for Best Social Change film as well as the Los Angeles Cinematography award for Best Student Film and Best Actress. It has screened at several festivals around the world including the American Black Film Festival in the Emerging Directors category.

Star’s 1st feature film for A+E Networks titled Lust was Executive Produced by T.D. Jakes, starring Keri Hilson and Tank.

Star is an invaluable 1st Assistant Director for many productions including Disney Hulu’s feature Grimcutty, A+E Networks Girl in The Basement, Envy & Switched At Birth, Datari Turner Productions Death Of A Telemarketer, Africa Movie Academy Awards winner Rattlesnake’s and the Student Academy award winning film Lalo's House, which was shot on location in Haiti.

Star is a mentee of Nina Yang Bongiovi, Cindy Cowan, and the late John Singleton.
